Getting to Salt Lake

Alaska and Delta have direct flights from Portland. You can take the TRAX light rail from the airport, making Salt Lake a trip you don't need to rent a car for. The drive from Portland is about 10 hours one way, but you have to drive through Idaho.

Getting to the Game

Real Salt Lake play at Rio Tinto Stadium, 9256 South State Sandy, UT 84070.

Transportation to RSL can either be done by car or by using the TRAX light rail system. The stadium stop is Sandy Expo on the Blue Line. If you're planning on taking the light rail system, make note of when the last train leaves the platform.

Hotels

In the past, traveling Timbers Army have stayed at the Little America in downtown Salt Lake.

There are also a number of hotels out in Sandy which are especially useful if you want to be close to the stadium and have a car.

Eat and Drink

Those staying downtown can imbibe at the Green Pig, on East 400 South street just east of Main Street. It's centrally located.

There is frequently a line outside the Red Iguana and this Mexican joint comes highly recommended by former locals. It's on the TRAX line toward the airport.
