Current Drive:October is the month to support our upstairs neighbors Janus Youth Programs provide important services for youth in the area, including the shelter program that's right upstairs from Fanladen. At the end of the season, we like to support them with blanket donations to help keep folks warm through the winter. They can accept new or gently used blankets of all shapes and sizes. You can bring and donate these items to 1919 on match days or Fanladen during membership hours or anytime they're open.UPCOMING DRIVES:Future Drives: We will attempt to update this list as we get confirmation of other upcoming plans. Please reach out to us if you have questions or ideas, or if you're interested in picking a recipient and leading a drive! See below for frequently requested items that are always good to pick up if you find them on sale. | Volunteer opportunities:
Volunteer with Blanchet House Blanchet House provides a variety of vital services to individuals in the Portland community; most prominently, they run a café where they provide warm meals to anyone who needs them. They also provide warm clothing and other necessities, provide transitional housing and a recovery program, and connect individuals with the services they need. Volunteer with other supporters! Support this organization through direct service alongside other supporters. Please sign up here to serve a meal in the Blanchet House café. 107IST members will be serving lunch on Saturday, December 2 (the same day as Winter Sale! You can attend both!). This is a limited opportunity, so sign up now to save your space! There’s also an option to let us know you’d be interested in another date in the future. Do you have a local bar or restaurant where you like to watch away games? We're looking for folks who can manage a partner relationship with their local, including the potential for partnering on remote drop-off locations for donation drives. Contact us if you think this might be something you could do! Interested in joining the 107IST community outreach team? We can always use volunteers to help with logistics and support for community outreach. And we're also looking to grow the committee. Want to know more? Contact us about coming to a meeting to check things out or if you're interested in joining the team. We also hope to start scheduling more in-person volunteer opportunities in the community! Watch this space and the newsletter for more information. Have a place you like to volunteer, and you'd like to do it with other 107IST members? We can help with the planning and logistics if you'd like to take the lead on setting up a volunteer opportunity with other 107IST members. Just reach out and let us know what you're thinking, and we'll go from there. |
We often invite local community organizations to games, and we love to provide our visitors with supporter scarves so they feel like part of the North End community. We depend on our community to help provide these scarves. Please visit the donation page and choose the "Scarf a new fan" option to help out!
