Donation Drives:

Match Day Drives return

With the opening of The Axe & Rose, The Booked! Library team will be hosting our first match day drive for the month of May: new and gently used children's books for ages 0 to 18.

Some guidelines:

  • All books should be as gently used as possible: odor- and mold-free, and fully intact with no ripped or scribbled pages or covers. We feel all children deserve good quality books!
  • Desirable books include board books, books with diverse characters and stories, as well as books written in languages other than English.
  • We also love any of your favorite stories and new books.

You can drop donations off at The Axe & Rose during open hours, either in the covered Community area or the Booked! Library space. Boxes will be marked United Way Match Day Book Drive.

If you have any questions, reach out to the Booked! Library folks at

Volunteer opportunities:

Volunteer with Blanchet House

Blanchet House provides a variety of vital services to individuals in the Portland community; most prominently, they run a cafĂ© where they provide warm meals to anyone who needs them. They also provide warm clothing and other necessities, provide transitional housing and a recovery program, and connect individuals with the services they need. Members of our 107IST community frequently help out serving meals in the Blanchet House free cafe. Watch the newsletter or email us for news of the next volunteer date! We are running them semi-regularly and would love to have you join us.

Interested in joining the 107IST community outreach team?

We can always use volunteers to help with logistics and support for community outreach. And we're also looking to grow the committee. Want to know more? Contact us about coming to a meeting to check things out or if you're interested in joining the team.

Have a place you like to volunteer, and you'd like to do it with other 107IST members?

We can help with the planning and logistics if you'd like to take the lead on setting up a volunteer opportunity with other 107IST members. Just reach out and let us know what you're thinking, and we'll go from there.

Scarf a New fan:

We often invite local community organizations to games, and we love to provide our visitors with supporter scarves so they feel like part of the North End community. We depend on our community to help provide these scarves. Please visit the donation page and choose the "Scarf a new fan" option to help out!
