The Rose City Riveters are proud to present the next evolution of our Supporters’ Player of the Year Award (SPOTY). The redesigned award is a vinyl record plaque that features a 10-inch custom picture disc and an engraving of the player’s name and award year. For the inaugural version, the supporter-designed artwork celebrates the 100th anniversary of Multnomah Civic Stadium with an Art Deco collage of Portland skyscrapers and our beloved home. The record is playable and includes 6 tracks of our chants, recorded in the North End on August 22nd.

We also gifted a 7-inch record with the same cover art that features all 6 tracks, so the player would not need to take apart the award to listen to our North End Swing.

This new version of SPOTY is to celebrate our DIY spirit and music-influenced community, while also providing an award that can evolve over time. Each year, the artwork will change to reflect something special from that season, that specific roster, or a specific memory from the North End. This setup allows us to highlight the different styles, influences, and sounds that make up the Riveters each season.
We hope you enjoyed this year of North End Swing, and we’re excited for what the future holds. And another congratulations to Pietra Tordin for getting the first!
