Op-Ed: #LineCulture…you win

02/07/2015 3:09 PM | 107ist Admin (Administrator)

Three and a half hours for a picture holding an axe. Meanwhile, we all live in a city where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a freelance graphic design artist with a camera and above average PhotoShop skills. So much for that DIY spirit.

I'll go take my Geritol now.

At least the wait was much shorter on Friday. Seeing the long wait times Saturday, though, Green Flag decided we’re gonna do our own. We have an axe or two.

I hung out with some old friends, made some new ones, drank some beer, spilled some beer and had a good time. That’s a culture I don’t mind being a part of.

I enjoyed my time in line as well. But then, I enjoy the wrist band line for the same reason.. it extends my face time with my timbers family.

Had a feeling it would be a cluster. Pleaded with @TimbersFC several times to get more photographers. No response. Great idea and poor, poor execution. Was looking forward to having my son do this again. Instead we had to leave when we heard 8 hrs before it even opened. Went and did our own in the backyard. Now we get to read the Op ed pieces on Timbers site about fan who attend a few games each year but made sure and stand in line for photos. How it’s a family tradition now. Come on Front Office your better than that. Appointments?, More Staff? something.
