While Our Boys may have fallen short in the end, we were able to glipse elements of greatness, experience moments of pure joy, and find many reasons for hope that have moved us through troubling times, together.  Come join us as we celebrate some of those joyous moments from the season.

On Nov 18th we’ll be partnering again with Friends of Trees and the FO to plant the trees for goals from the 2017 Timbers season.  We’ll be helping to plant over 200 trees in the Brentwood-Darlington, Woodstock, Sellwood-Westmoreland & Eastmoreland neighborhoods of SE Portland.  These are always a lot of fun and are definitely family friendly.

Be sure to show up by 8:45 to be able to fuel up on breakfast snacks and beverages provided by the neighborhoods as planting activities will start promptly at 9:00.  Also, be sure to stick around for a bit after as there will be potluck items to help you move on with your day.  Our crews usually finish early so you won’t have to plan to stay for too long.

As always, please dress appropriately for the weather and the work.  They’ll provide work gloves and guidance, and they require that you wear sturdy, close-toe shoes or boots (knee-high rain boots or work boots are perfect if you have them), and rain-ready layers that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

If you have access to a truck to move trees around, contact Stephan.Lewis@107ist.org and we’ll get you sorted.

It was a pretty tough way to end the Timbers season.  Come console yourself with us and do some lasting good.  Onward.
